Your "trash" may be another person's treasure
Where to bring used items in good condition
Before you throw anything away, ask yourself these questions:
- Is it something someone else might be able to use?
- Is it clean and in good condition?
- If it's electric or motorized, does it run or require a simple repair? (Habitat for Humanity will accept vehicles running or not.)
If you answered yes to these questions, consider giving your items to a re-use program rather than throwing them away. It will save you disposal fees, help a local non-profit or small business and help extend the life of the landfill.
