How do I get local emergency help for a mental health crisis?

We offer Emergency 24-hour Crisis Response. Call 209-966-7000 or 800-549-6741 any time 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Tell the receptionist that you have a "crisis."

Other resources for mental health crises:


  • If you were formerly or currently involved in the California Child Welfare and/or Probation systems, you may be eligible to receive a one-time supplemental cash award if you are 18 and 26 years old before September 3, 2021.  If eligible, you have the choice to receive the cash card payment via a virtual e-card sent to your email or a physical prepaid card that can be mailed directly to your residence.  Check out our Chafee Cash Card FAQ Flier for more information on how to file your claim.

  • The Housing Choice Voucher (formerly Section 8 / HUD) wait list is still currently open. Only current residents or those that work in Mariposa will be eligible to be placed on the wait list.   • If you’re a current or former foster youth, or a caregiver of a current foster youth, and you’re having problems at home, the 24/7 Family Urgent Response System (FURS) hotline is here to help:
