Smart Start is a home-based voluntary program serving you and your family during pregnancy and after the birth of your baby. It provides support services to get your child off to a “Smart Start” in life.
A Public Health Nurse will visit your home to help you with:
- Pregnancy
- Reducing the risk of illness and injury
- Promoting nurturing parent-child relationships
- Improve the physical, intellectual and emotional growth of your child
- Health care services and community resources
Smart Start
All Mariposa County residents are eligible. Smart Start is available at no cost to every pregnant woman and every family with children under the age of six. The primary goal is to improve the brain development and health of children.
