The deadline for the 2022-2023 Residential Transient Occupancy Facility Self-Inspection Compliance Report is April 30, 2023.
Mariposa County Code §17.108.180 establishes an annual Self-inspection requirement for residential TOT business operators. Each facility shall be inspected by the operator to verify that the standards of the checklist in place at the time of the application are being maintained; a Self-inspection Compliance Report shall be completed on an approved form by April 30th each year.
2022-2023 Self-report is due April 30, 2023 (PDF), for the period from April 1, 2022 - March 30, 2023.
The purpose of the inspection and report is to ensure that your facility remains in compliance with the residential transient occupancy safety checklist in effect at the time the transient occupancy residential certificate was issued. The inspection and report requirement applies to all residential occupancy facilities, regardless of their approval date.
Failure to maintain your residential transient occupancy facility in accordance with the applicable safety checklist requirements and/or failure to submit the annual facility compliance report is a County Code violations, which could result in revocation of the facility’s approval and revocation of your Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT) Certificate. It is the owner’s responsibility to insure that this report is completed and returned.
