The WtW program provides opportunities for training, counseling, education, and work experience to CalWORKs recipients. All participants are given an assessment to determine specific needs so that a customized case plan can be developed.
After the assessment, clients are assigned to various activities designed to build upon strengths and overcome barriers to self-sufficiency. While attending approved activities, assistance with child care, transportation, and other needs (books, tools, clothing, etc.) may be available.
