Federal Unemployment Benefits End 9/4/2021

After September 4,2021, federal unemployment benefits will expire.  If you are receiving these benefits you will get a notice regarding the impact to your claim.  We know this pandemic has been tough on many workers and their families and you are certainly not alone.  That's why we want to make sure you are aware that you may qualify for several vital programs to help cover your food, housing, utility, and health care expenses.  Please see this flyer for additional information - Federal Unemployment Benefits Fact Sheet

COVID-19 Testing

The TEST is FREE! You can get tested at this site as often as you wish. We recommend those who have contact with the public test every 14 - 30 days, those who have potentially been exposed test 4 days post-exposure, and get tested if you are experiencing any symptoms, regardless of vaccination status.

Mariposa Hours of Operation: Tuesday - Saturday from 7:00 - 11:30 am, 1:00 - 4:00 pm, & 5:00 - 7:00 pm.

Transportation Assistance to Testing Site: If you need assistance with transportation, please call 209-966-2000 and ask for transportation. 

Yosemite Site Locations: Mondays at Yosemite Medical Clinic, 9000 Ahwahnee Dr., Yosemite Valley, CA 95389; Thursdays at Curry Village Wellness Center, 8324 Sierra Circle, Yosemite Valley, CA 95389.

Yosemite Hours of Operation: 10:00 am - 2:00 pm & 3:00 - 6:00 pm.

Worried about being evicted? Due to a Moratorium on evictions, in California, you cannot be evicted before February 1st, 2021 if you owe rent due to a coronavirus-related hardship between the dates of March 4th, 2020 to September 30th, 2021. The State of California has increased funding for income-eligible renters and their landlords who have been impacted by COVID-19 to cover 100% of unpaid and future rent or utilities.

SERVICES FOR OLDER ADULTS

Mariposa Senior Meals Drive through Lunch Program is now available weekdays from Mariposa Community Services
Call 209-742-7182, Monday through Friday, before 10:30 am to reserve a meal.
Drive-through pick-up service starts at 12:00 pm and ends at 12:45 pm. Meals will be delivered to your car.
Location: Senior Center, 5246 Spriggs Lane, Mariposa
