Maternal Child and Adolescent Health (MCAH)

Overview

MCAH provides Mariposa County women, children and families’ assistance in accessing care; providing education to insure healthy living; and referrals to county resources.

Services

• Smart Start is a free program for eligible pregnant woman and families with children up to 5 years old. A registered nurse will visit your home to provide information on many topics and answer your questions.
• Hemoglobin testing available to children in the WIC Program, call us to schedule your appointment.
• Referrals available for Mariposa First 5 Dental Program to eligible children.

Costs

Services are provided free to all eligible families. Participation is voluntary.
