Highway 140 / 6th Street Storm Drain Improvements
THE COUNTY OF MARIPOSA invites sealed bids for the Highway 140 / 6th Street Storm Drain Improvement Project
The project includes improvements at two locations:
- SR140 & 6th Street
- SR140 & SR49 (Top of Town)
The Highway 140 and 6th Street work includes 3- G2 Inlets, 2-Curbside Inlets, and a combined total of 105 LF of 12-inch and 18-inch RCP pipe.
At Highway 140 & SR49 work includes two steel casings for future electrical and irrigation.
A valid Class A Contractor License is required for this project. The Engineer's Estimate is $200,000. Portions of the work requires night work across the highway. Work to be completed February 29th, 2024 (Weather Permitting)
Advertisement of the project begins on November 14, 2023. Bids will be received at the Public Works Department, 4639 Ben Hur Road, Mariposa, California, 95338 on or before 2:00 P.M. local time on Thursday December 7th, 2023.

Bid security in the amount of ten (10) percent of the amount of the bid, and in the form of a bid bond issued by an admitted surety insurer licensed by the California Department of Insurance, cash, cashier's check or certified check shall accompany the bid.
There is no DBE goal required.
Any changes to, or clarification of, the project plans and specifications shall be in the form of a written addendum issued to planholders of record.
No prebid meeting
This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for a public works project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 [with limited exceptions from this requirement for bid purposes only under Labor Code section 1771.1(a)].
