The Catheys Valley fire company is located in the heart of Catheys Valley at McKay Park. They provide primary coverage to Catheys Valley and Hornitos and secondary coverage to Mariposa, Mt.Bullion/Airport, Don Pedro, Bridgeport and Mormon Bar companies. They have one Type 1 fire engine, one Type 1 water tender and one Type 6 engine assigned to the company. They also have the Jaws of Life carried on the Type 6 engine.
