Certification

Mariposa County Health Department, Environmental Health Services, is certified by Cal-EPA as the Certified Unified Program Agency (CUPA) that administers specific hazardous materials/hazardous waste programs.

Functions

• Educate the community
• Inspect facilities that use hazardous materials
• Investigate complaints from the public
• Review construction plans
• Initiate and monitor corrective actions to ensure health and safety at regulated facilities
