Fire Fee's and Fire Fee Study

Fire Fee's

Mariposa County Fire currently provides the following services: 

  • Life Safety Inspections of Commercial Buildings. 
  • New Construction (Residential/Commercial) Plan Review for Fire Specific Life Safety.
  • Fire Regulation Code Enforcement 

There is currently a $95 flat fee that the Building Department charges that is then passed to the Fire Department. 

Fire Fee Study

Mariposa County contracted with NBS to conduct a fee study which began on November 1st, 2021, and concluded in 2023.

The Fire Department brought an item to the Board of Supervisors to adopt the fees on May 2nd, 2023. The Board directed the Division Chief to cross-reference the fees with the following counties: 

  • Alpine
  • Trinity
  • Del Norte

As of July 1st, 2023, the below Fire Fee Study has not yet been adopted by the Board of Supervisors. The above-mentioned fees are current.
