Assisted Outpatient Treatment (AOT)

Assisted Outpatient Treatment is a court-ordered program for treatment of specific individuals with severe and persistent mental illness, who meet strict legal criteria and have a history of poor compliance with treatment. These individuals often experience severe mental health symptoms which impact their ability to recognize the need for treatment. This program is not a crisis intervention program but is intended for the AOT team to partner with clients to achieve and maintain physical and mental health while working to decrease mental health crisis, hospitalizations, incarcerations, and homelessness.
