Incarcerated Persons Accounts
Any cash not taken as evidence at the time of arrest will be put onto the incarcerated persons account ("Books"). Family or friends may make deposits to this account by using the kiosk in the jail lobby, visiting AccessCorrections.com, or dialing (866) 394-2535. You must have the following information: Location; Mariposa County Jail, incarcerated persons first and last name. No personal checks will be accepted. Money cannot be transferred to another incarcerated persons account. Any monies accepted are deposited into the incarcerated persons Trust Account. These funds are available for release through debit card only. Incarcerated persons requesting to release funds from their account must fill out a request form available from any jail staff member. They must be able to articulate a valid emergency reason for the release, and the release must be approved by the Jail Commander. Such a release may be done only once.
