Mariposa County Department of Public Works proposes to remove the existing structurally deficient bridge and construct a new bridge placed on the same general alignment as the existing bridge. The new bridge will be designed to current structural and geometric standards while minimizing adverse impacts to Mariposa Creek and the surrounding area. The existing bridge is approximately 44-feet-long and 20-feet-wide, with two travel lanes less than 10-feet-in width with no shoulders. The replacement bridge will have a clear width of 24 feet to accommodate two 10-foot-wide lanes and two 2-foot-wide shoulders.

Recommended CEQA Finding: The recommended finding is that the project will not have an adverse effect on the environment with implementation of Board-approved environmental mitigation measures.
