ABOUT

Mariposa County has over forty-five (45) committees. These committees are citizen committees, established to address certain projects, topics, or needs within the County. These committees consist of individuals with interests and varying walks of life to discuss and recommend different actions to the Board of Supervisors to improve the quality of life and service for the residents and visitors of Mariposa County.

All Board of Supervisor established Boards, Committees, Commissions, and/or Councils are required to follow Government Code Section §54950-54963 ("The Ralph M. Brown Act"). 

NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC

Government Code Section §54970 ("The Maddy Act") requires that a list of the local appointments be posted prior to December 31st of each year. This compiled, comprehensive listing is only updated at the end of the year in order to reflect the Board actions over the course of the past year. Included in it are: all of the County Boards, Commissions, and Committees over which the Board of Supervisors has appointive power; the members of those Boards, Commissions, and Committees; and the terms of office for each member as of the posting date.
